Why is the Laundry blue on the outside and green on the inside?
Well, no, it’s not just that we share a strange and intertwined history with The Green Tree Frog of Australia.
We didn’t want to just fade in to the sea-of-green that makes up all the logos of those other run of the mill eco-schemes out there. We wanted to stand out… and be blue, Laundry Blue! But that doesn’t mean we haven’t reached a state of deep INNER greenness.
Here's a list of some of the things that make us green and good.
We recycle 100% of what we collect from you. Paper tends to get messed up being collected in the same bag as all your other rubbish, which can mean it gets refused by paper companies. One sack recycling doesn't work, so we keep things simple and clean: 2 colour coded bags and 100% recycling, anything else would be rubbish.
Everything we collect from your office is recycled in the UK so this cuts down on the horrible fumes caused by shipping and air frieghting rubbish overseas to be recycled. We use vegetable ink and recycled paper for all our marketing materials, we use sacks that are made from 100% recycled plastic (and then we recycle them) and, we courier the majority of these to you using a bicycle (not just one though, it’s more of a 2 wheeled fleet).
